Vegan Brands We Love

Vaute Couture

Delikate Rayne

Noah

Vaute Couture (like Haute but replaced with a “V” for Vegan) is a high fashion brand that started as an idea in 2008. For the founder, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart, it began with a personal mission to take animals out of the equation. The first thing that Hilgart designed was a winter dress coat that was not just ethical, fashionable and functional but also tough enough to withstand Chicago’s brutal winters. Today, Vaute Couture has an ever growing line of earth loving fashion for both men and women.

Matt & Nat

Nicora Johns

Alabama Chanin

Matt & Nat gets its name from the mingling of MATerial and NATure. Their mantra, “live beautifully” perfectly captures not just their seriously gorgeous goods, but their pleasing and somewhat soothing website. What’s more? They’ve been creating and designing beautiful things since 1995.

Nicora Johns is a new-age shoe-maker brand. I say new-age shoe-maker because it defines what Nicora Johns does, perfectly. All shoes are hand-made here in the U.S. by materials sourced locally, which helps them customize pairs (size, colors, fit) for customers for little or no extra cost. A pair of shoes made just for YOU? Isn’t that awesome?

Founded in 2000, Alabama Chanin is a lifestyle brand that follows the tenets of the Slow Design Movement. Their goods are a well-struck balance between design, fashion and sustainability. Oh and they also have a pretty extensive DIY section as well as workshops for the more industrious.
